TRU TRU STORIES was created by Trudy Feighery in 2017. Trudy is an Irish Textile Designer whose work focuses on print for both interior and fashion design. Her collection ‘For The Birds’ features botanical and bird life illustration. Trudy’s work focuses greatly on pattern and colour and finds endless inspiration in nature.
Trudy graduated from NCAD with a Bachelor Degree in Textile Design and from London College of Fashion with a Masters in Fashion Entrepreneurship & Innovation. She has worked in fashion design and buying for Dunnes Stores and Primark and has also worked as a Brand Ambassador and Social Media Ambassador for Selfridges, London.

UNFOLDING, curated by Angela O’Kelly, features the work of 9 Irish designer-makers and focuses on revealing the design and making process, representing a new approach to exhibiting contemporary craft. The designer-makers all have a connection to Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County.

dlr Artworks Home
In 2020 during the Covid 19 pandemic, Trudy took part in a special project called dlr Artworks Home which was organised by Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council and The Arts Council Ireland. The project involved artists and craft designer-makers from the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Community creating artworks which were gifted to members of the local community who were cocooning during Covid19 lockdowns.
